Aviation Background Check

An applicant’s FAA certificate on record with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is confirmed, including the current status, type ratings, any limitations, as well as, the number and issued date

The current airman medical certificate is verified including level, category, class and type ratings. It also reports limitations to those certificates and ratings and summaries of legal enforcement actions.
Reports the dates and descriptions of any accidents or incidents on record with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and includes information about the source and verification of the data.
A search on a pilot’s previous employment history for the past five years is conducted.
In accordance with the Pilot Records Improvement Act, drug and alcohol test results for pilots from previous employers are verified for the last five years.


Driving Records Check

Verify driver’s license information about pilots/applicants who have had their licenses revoked or suspended, or who have been convicted of serious traffic violations, such as driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Driving records provide state DMV-reported information on the applicant’s driver’s license, license class and type, endorsements, restrictions, driving violations, suspensions and DUIs when available.


Criminal Background Check

County criminal court records are searched to identify whether an applicant has a criminal record history in the jurisdictions corresponding to their address history.
A wider search is performed by investigating additional sources to locate criminal records in jurisdictions beyond applicant’s known address history and stated work locations. No records or information are reported from Widescreen Plus sources. Widescreen Plus is used only to identify additional jurisdictions to search.


Resume Verifications

Searches are performed with higher education institutions or their authorized agents to validate the applicant’s receipt of degrees, certificates and/or diplomas.
An applicant’s previous work history is verified by directly contacting former employers or their authorized agents to obtain dates of employment, position, reasons for leaving, rehire eligibility and salary history.
The application is reviewed for any gaps in historical employment records. If a gap is found, AeroNet will obtain a professional reference for the associated time period in question.
Interviews are conducted with an applicant’s former colleague or co-worker to gain greater insight into their professional background.



Streamlines the Department of Homeland Security’s employment eligibility process by using electronic I-9 forms and quickly determines an applicant’s work eligibility status using the E-Verify system (if enrolled).
